“The IONIQ 6 bridges an emotional convergence between functionality and aesthetics. The distinctive streamlined design is the result of close cooperation between engineers and designers, with obsessive attention to detail and customer-centric values at the center. We created the IONIQ 6 as a conscious cocoon that offers a personalized place for everyone. ''

On June 28, Hyundai unveiled the design of the all-new Ioniq 6, an electric sedan that will join the family of Hyundai's all-electric sub-brand. With its slender silhouette, aerodynamic curves and advanced technologies, the Ioniq 6 marks a new era.
Aerodynamics pushed to the max
The aerodynamics are at the top with the Ioniq 6 which highlights a drag coefficient of 0.21 thanks to its sculpted silhouette and its subtle curves. As for the mirrors, Hyundai lets us dangle the possibility of replacing them with cameras so that there is less resistance to the wind. However, it will be necessary to wait some time before knowing if this option will be offered in Canada.
Technologies inside the cabin
Inside, we can find one, but two 12-inch screens on the console. Passengers will be served as the floor is flat and the wheelbase is extended. In addition, to pursue its philosophy, Hyundai insisted on recycled materials in order to reduce its ecological footprint.
Note that the Ioniq 6 will be equipped with pixelated headlights and taillights and that the interior lighting will be customizable. The driver will be able to choose from 64 colors and six two-tone themes, in order to create the environment of his choice.
However, we have no information on the price, nor on its production launch date. On the other hand, we hope that the production of the Ioniq 6 will begin in 2023. Other more technical information should be revealed along the way.
