Nadia Bastien: Versatility in the Service of Customer Relations

For International Women’s Rights Day, we are honoring an employee at Hyundai Île-Perrot, whose presence and professionalism brighten the dealership every day. We take this opportunity to applaud her journey while reaffirming our commitment to gender equality in the automotive field. We are delighted to introduce Nadia Bastien, who shares her experiences and viewpoints in a short questionnaire.

Q: How long have you been working in the automotive field?
A: “A little over 2 years.”

Q: What attracted you to this field?
A: “A desire for change and a new challenge.”

Q: Which position(s) have you held?
A: “I’m a receptionist, so I’m on the front lines welcoming and greeting clients.”

Q: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a woman in this industry?
A: “As a receptionist, I haven’t really experienced a specific challenge related to being a woman. I’m mainly the first and last point of contact for customers, so I always make sure they have a great experience!”

Q: What is your greatest pride in your automotive career?
A: “I quickly got the hang of a system I knew nothing about. It’s really rewarding to learn new skills!”

Q: What advice would you give to a woman who wants to get into the automotive field?
A: “Go for it! Don’t hesitate to jump on an opportunity and adapt.”

Q: If you could drive any car, which one would you choose and why?
A: “A Tucson, for its interior space. I’m more comfortable when I’m not cramped.”

Nadia embodies the versatility and energy needed to advance in the automotive industry. Her success shows that every role matters—and that every woman can find her path!

From Nadia and everyone at Hyundai Île-Perrot, happy International Women’s Rights Day!
